Molecular Biology
Molecular Biology
Department website:
A very quick and pleasant subject that takes place during first semester. This course covers how human genes and the genome are organized, how they stay stable or change, and how genetic information is expressed. It also teaches methods for studying genes and how this knowledge is used in medicine.
The first lecture takes place in Collegium Pathologicum, where the course overview, rules and regulations will be read to you. The remaining lectures are conducted live on Blackboard.
This subject allows for class collaboration as students are required to partake in group projects based on fun, interesting topics assigned by your professors. No book or additional material is necessary, except for the ones provided by the department.
Very important: Attend the online lectures since attendance is mandatory and will be checked.
In a given class you will be asked to present a PowerPoint presentation in pairs regarding a chosen topic surrounding the course of molecular biology.
It should be around 10 minutes long and contain all the specified information. This is a great opportunity to learn new interesting facts that you may have never known about the human body.
The course coordinator is very nice and always open to give students a hand when needed. Do not be scared to reach out!
Credit is given upon completion of your presentation.
