Diagnostic Imaging
Diagnostic Imaging
This course consists of lectures and classes, and lasts for 2 weeks.
Lectures were held in person (though we have a link to them online (Online Lectures)).
We discovered that the quality of teaching in this course was heavily dependent on the teacher we got. Some instructors emphasized technical aspects, while others focused more on pathologies. Ultimately, the responsibility for mastering the subject for the final exam was with each student.
Some groups got unannounced tests during classes, while others did not. We believe this to be another teacher-based variation.
One non-USK meeting was arranged to visit the LOM imaging center on ul. Żurawia, where we learned about hybrid imaging techniques.
Optionally, at the end of the second week, we could hold presentations about a topic of our choice. This was good to deepen your knowledge about an area you're interested in, and gave one bonus point on the exam.
And one seminar is near Żurawia. Your assistants will inform you when you will have to go there.

Quizzes might be held announced (and unannounced) – depending on your assistant, level of preparation for classes, and behaviour.
The exam consists of 50 to 60 MCQ single-choice questions, and contains (ironically enough) no pictures.
We have been told to focus on old questions, however, many questions seemed new. Thus, we advise not to rely on old materials for this exam. Unfortunately, what's more: if you got an assistant who is not involved in the exam creation process, you may not even discuss relevant topics in class.
The majority, however, passed on the first take.
Credit received after passing the final exam.
The grade which enters your transcript is taken from the exam.
For the grading scale, consider the department's website.
