Hematology
Part of Internal Medicine ›Department website:
The Hematology lectures were held in person but didn’t require attendance.
Seminars and classes were 4 meetings held in person in the department, starting at 08:20, with scrubs required (!). Teachers expected us to be prepared for each class.
And one day (1 meeting) took place at the Regional Blood Center (Regionalne Centrum Krwiodawstwa i Krwiolecznictwa w Białymstoku). It started with a two-hour lecture, followed by a brief tour of the facility. Just a lab coat was needed for this visit.
Credit was based on participation and a test in the end.
Make sure to participate and be respectful during the classes and seminars, the test will be harder if you don't.
The credit test consisted of 15 single-choice questions. The questions were quite hard so you definitely had to prepare really well. The first groups found the test to be more difficult than the latter groups...
Passing it was the prerequisite to getting the booklets signed. Unfortunately, they didn't correct it straight away and we had to come back and schedule a date to get our signatures and the credit insight. For some groups the test was checked immediately and credit was given the same day, so don't forget to bring your booklets.
