Briefing

The course of alllergology is found to be very well thought through,and enjoyed by most students. This course consists of seminars and clinical classes. The seminars were prerecorded online.

See below what we had to prepare each day for classes:

Classes (4 days): Taken from the academic year 21/22. For your orientation only.

Day 1

Respiratory function tests (spirometry, provocation tests).
Cough and dyspnea, the leading symptoms of respiratory diseases.
Allergic, non-allergic asthma, other asthma phenotypes.
Non-invasive diagnosis of inflammation in respiratory diseases.
Practical performance of diagnostic tests used in obstructive pulmonary diseases and allergic diseases.
Co-occurrence of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis
Eosinophilic bronchitis

Day 2

Allergological diagnostics (allergological tests, immunological diagnostics).
Acute and chronic urticaria, comorbidity of urticaria and angioedema.
Atopic dermatitis
Contact dermatitis

Day 3

Life-threatening conditions caused by allergic reactions: anaphylactic shock, allergic reactions after insect stings, angioedema.
Adverse drug reactions
Occupational allergies
Allergic alveolitis

Assessment

Credit test

The course ends with a small written test to give you the credit. Don't forget to bring your booklets!
