Briefing
The course of allergology is found to be very well thought through, and enjoyed by most students. This course consists of seminars and clinical classes. A little preparation for each class will make it much more enjoyable.
See below what we had to prepare each day for classes:
Classes (4 days):
Taken from previous academic years. For your orientation only.
Day 1
- Respiratory function tests (spirometry, provocation tests).
- Cough and dyspnea, the leading symptoms of respiratory diseases.
- Allergic, non-allergic asthma, other asthma phenotypes.
- Non-invasive diagnosis of inflammation in respiratory diseases.
- Practical performance of diagnostic tests used in obstructive pulmonary diseases and allergic diseases.
- Co-occurrence of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
- Allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis
- Eosinophilic bronchitis
Day 2
- Allergological diagnostics (allergological tests, immunological diagnostics).
- Acute and chronic urticaria, comorbidity of urticaria and angioedema.
- Atopic dermatitis
- Contact dermatitis
Day 3
- Life-threatening conditions caused by allergic reactions: anaphylactic shock, allergic reactions after insect stings, angioedema.
- Adverse drug reactions
- Occupational allergies
- Allergic alveolitis
Day 4
- Summary
- Revision

ClassesUSK Block H, 4th FloorTake the elevator because the staircase is locked on 4th floor, and wait in front of the entrance not to cause noise in the department.

Assessment
Credit test
The course ends with a small written test to give you the credit. Each group will write the small test with their assistant.
Don't forget to bring your booklets!
The test is based on the classes and the seminars.
