As a non-EU citizen, having health insurance is a mandatory requirement by both the university and for your own personal benefit. With various insurance options to choose from, we strongly advise opting for the comprehensive coverage offered by Poland National Health Fund (NFZ). This ensures that you receive extensive, reliable and affordable healthcare services during your stay in Poland.
The staff at NFZ are proficient in English and are readily available to assist you throughout the entire process.
Typically, the process can be completed within 10 minutes.

Once you have completed the enrollment process with NFZ, the next step is to visit Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). This step is to finalize the setup of your payment account for your insurance.
It is important to note that the staff at ZUS may not be fluent in English. To ensure a smoother experience, we advise following our guidance throughout the process.

How?
Make a monthly payment before the 20th to ZUS via bank transfer from your personal bank account.
ZUS Account: it is different for each individual.
How much? 55.80 zł/month
NOTE
It is necessary for you to visit ZUS on a monthly basis in order to obtain the declaration.When you need to visit a doctor, make sure that you choose hospitals or clinics displaying the NFZ logo on their premises.
Remember to bring your passport along with the latest NFZ declaration with you when visiting medical facilities. It may be requested at various stages of your treatment.
Under the NFZ insurance scheme, you can enjoy a wide range of benefits, almost all medical examination costs are free, except for medication expenses.
